Grammy-winning global pop-star Bruno Mars is to perform six nights at London’s Wembley stadium next month.
Mars began his fifth ever concert tour – The Romantic Tour – on April 10, in Las Vegas, with Vancouver being the final destination on October 20. It follows the release of his fourth studio album, The Romantic, which was released on February 27.
The nine-track album has become a major streaming hit, surpassing 60 million streams on Spotify just days after its release. Mars has debuted his second album at the Billboard 200 chart, at number one after a decade of second studio album Unorthodox Jukebox premiered at number two in 2012.
A line up of special guests will feature at The Romantic Tour with Mars such as American rapper Anderson Paak, better known as DJ Pee Wee, and R’n’B, pop and jazz singer-songwriter Raye. Musician and actor Leon Thomas, better known for his role as Andre on Nickelodeon’s Victorious, and British singer and record producer Victoria Monet will also appear as supporting acts.
The Romantic album and tour focuses on songs exploring romance, heartbreak, vulnerability and love. In a recent interview with The Economic Times, Mars has openly spoken about love and how “it’s the worst feeling in the world, when you’re madly in love with a woman but she does not feel the same way, and you don’t know why.”
Tickets for Mars’ tour sold out almost immediately across North America, Europe and the UK, breaking records with over two million tickets sold in a day.
Fans are counting down the days until Mars makes his first debut in London on July 18.
