They’re Celebrities – GET THEM OUT OF HERE!

Tension and arguments: The series I’m A Celebrity column left with a final to remember. Columnist Remayah Tulloch-Hunter liked the 16 long episodes

“Let’s back track” – it was a final to always remember.

You can tell when someone’s emotion changes, and that was Adam Thomas. He was a campmate who was happy in the beginning, but his emotion changed to drained in the final.

I’m A Celebrity South Africa was the second season of the African spin-off of the original show. It’s about the returning campmates from previous series, with this season being pre-recorded.

Monday, 6 April, meant a soundtrack that had me rushing to the sofa.

I’ve always watched I’m A Celebrity every year, and I have to say the campmates this year were okay, but I didn’t know who some of them were.

This year’s line-up had 12 returning stars: Scarlett Moffatt, Seann Walsh, Beverley Callard, David Hayes, Adam, Gemma Collins, Craig Charles, Jimmy Bullard, and Harry Redknapp.

You’ll normally find that when watching I’m A Celebrity, the first trials are less stressful, but in this series, the trials were brutal.

My pulse beat faster watching the first trial (Tripped Over the Edge) because, as someone who loves heights, it was fun to watch, but I knew the campmates taking part who hate heights wouldn’t find it easy.

Anyone who has watched I’m A Celebrity would know there is always a twist. In this case, I wasn’t expecting campmates to choose who they want in their camp and the separation of the camps.

One hour into the first episode, you can see the tension between David and Adam, but my question is, why was David starting drama for no reason?

The worst part of the show was that it was pre-recorded, and you couldn’t vote out the people you didn’t like.

I wasn’t the only person who wanted David to be voted out, as he became everyone’s archenemy.

Throughout each episode, you would have thought the drama stopped between Adam and David, but no, Jimmy started having arguments with Adam.

Jimmy reminds me of a person who has bipolar disorder because one minute he is a type of person who is supportive, and then he starts drama. At the beginning, he was supportive of Gemma when they did trials with each other.

As the show progressed, we can conclude that Jimmy was in the wrong, especially in the trial, where he just stood there when Adam was fighting for his place to stay.

We can agree that Adam had every right to be upset and angry, but his reaction could have been better in my mind; Jimmy was only there for the fame and money.

Agree to disagree, Adam is a type of person who went through bullying and yet still made it to the final, but Jimmy and David were not happy about that.

Adam was everyone’s favourite, but I always thought he was favoured because of what he went through, and everyone felt sorry for him.

I did feel sorry for him throughout the series, but in my opinion, how he reacted made me change my mind.

We all have to say this year’s I’m A Celebrity was heated, especially when David wanted to get involved when it didn’t concern him.

David is a type of person who is a ‘pick-me’ who wants attention all the time and wants everyone to agree with him. If you haven’t watched I’m A Celebrity, spoiler note – Adam was announced the winner, but winning a popular show would make you jump up and down and smile.

That doesn’t make the fact that Adam, who was being bullied and happy at the beginning of the show, choose to make their family happy, not care about winning and being upset.
