Leicester artist Hxrtleya plans more releases for 2026

Leicestershire-based emo/pop punk artist Hxrtleya is planning to release a new single every one to two months in 2026, hoping to build up to an album or EP.

Edd Hartley, 25, the founder of Hxrtleya, said: “Always singles, as it just works the best for an artist my size at the moment but I’m trying to build them up into something bigger next year, maybe an album or EP but I’m still figuring it all out.

“Definitely new music coming though.”

He released his debut single, I Know You Hate Me, in May 2023.

Inspired by Blink-182, Bring me the Horizon, and Julia Wolf, Hxrtleya has consistently been releasing singles since then.

Mr Hartley has been performing with backing bands throughout this year and is planning to continue playing shows in 2026, starting with Beat the Streets Nottingham festival on January 25.
