A Leicester City fans group has confirmed it will be able to unfurl the biggest tifo yet at the final match of the season as a mark of respect to striker Jamie Vardy.

5pm Market traders losing money during temporary site move

Traders at Leicester Market say they’ve lost up to a third of their takings after being moved to a temporary site.

Freya Gerrard reports how Leicester City Council moved them to allow the demolition of the old covered market. It is planning to rebuild a more modern market on the old site.

12:37 pm Leicester women’s cricket denied chance to host tier one matches

Leicestershire County Cricket Club say they are “extremely disappointed” to find out their submission to host top tier professional women’s cricket has been declined.

The English Cricket Board have announced today the tier one positions have been awarded to Durham, Essex, Hampshire, Lancashire, Nottinghamshire, Somerset, Surrey and Warwickshire and relegations will not be put in place until 2028.

The club say they are committed to continue the development of the women’s and girls teams and they are trying to confirm their tier two status.

They will be looking for further clarification on the decision in coming weeks.

12:17 pm Collabro star visits Leicester

A masterclass on freelancing and self-employment within the preforming arts industry is being held at Leicester’s Curve theatre today at 1pm.

Britain’s Got Talent winner Michael Auger will be meeting De Montfort University students.

11:48am Today’s weather

Spring is in the air again – there are sunny spells forecast for parts of today.

But there are a few light showers still expected throughout the day and a gentle breeze with high temperatures of 12C and lows of 8C. That’s at least an improvement on yesterday!

11:10am Missing girl found safe and well

Missing Leicester girl Tia Downes has been found safe earlier this morning after police made a public appeal for the 14-year-old who had been reported missing late last night.  

Police said she was found safe and well earlier today and thanked everyone who had shared any information.
