The Diwali celebrations in Leicester are among the biggest in the world, outside India.
The festival celebration in Leicester kicked off on October 9 with the switch on of the lights which lit up Belgrave Road.
On Monday (OCT24), which was Diwali day, the tradition continued with a firework display in the evening which could be viewed from Belgrave Road.
Also on that day, a Diwali village was held on Cossington Street, featuring fun-fair rides and stalls including traditional Indian food.
Arjun, who was among those celebrating, said: “Leicester always lives up to the tradition of Diwali and I couldn’t wait for this time around again.”
