WATCH: President Trump arrive in UK

By Beth Surridge

President Donald Trump has arrived at London’s Stansted Airport, earlier this morning.

The controversial US President arrived at the airport in his Air Force One plane at around 9am this morning, before quickly heading off in a helicopter to the US Ambassador’s Office in Regents Park, London.

Minutes before touching down in the UK, Mr Trump was on twitter accusing the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan of doing a ‘terrible job’ in his role as Mayor.

Trump then went on to call Mr Khan a “stone cold loser.”

The President and his wife Melania are here on a three-day visit during which they will meet with UK Prime Minister Theresa May to discuss issues surrounding Brexit.

They have also been invited to Buckingham Palace by Her Majesty the Queen, where they will attend a state banquet with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and the Duke of Sussex.

The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, will not be attending, after the birth of her son Archie just one month ago.

Trump made headlines on his last visit, after disobeying royal protocol and walking in front of the Queen.
