Leicester Fire: Everything we know so far

A massive electrical substation fire in Leicester that sent a huge plume of black smoke that was seen all over the city today.

Here is everything we know so far about the blaze.

At 10:45am the fire services received multiple calls about the inferno near Ravensbridge Drive.

The fire let thousands of homes and business left without power and a number of nearby roads were closed off.

Two hours later power had been restored to most homes.

Later in the afternoon roads were reopened.

As of 3.30pm the fire was still going on and the course of the blaze is still unknown.

The fire service have said the fire is now under control but with no further statement.
