We need your help to identify the man in this computer generated image after a 33-year-old woman was the victim of a serious sexual assault in Leicester.

The victim was walking through Nelson Mandela Park in Welford Road when she was approached from behind and subjected to a serious sexual assault.

It’s believed that there may have three men in the area during the incident. The main suspect has been described as a black man, in his 30s, tall, slim, with chin length dreadlocks. He spoke with a southern accent.

A second suspect has been described as a black man, of stocky build, with a tattoo of a dagger or knife on his head. The third man was also black.

The incident took place sometime between 9.30pm and 10pm on Friday 5 February.

We appreciate that the incident took place sometime ago and extensive work has been carried out since it was reported including a CCTV trawl, forensic work and local enquiries.

The victim has now been able to assist us in compiling this computer generated image and we’re keen to hear from anyone who may recognise the man in the picture.

If you recognise the person in the image or any of the suspect descriptions then please get in touch.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact DC 3011 James Piskula on 101, quoting crime number 20194.
