De Montfort University’s students and staff will be setting off on a 5K run to raise money for the Adam Redfern Memorial Fund in March.
The fund, in memory of Journalism graduate, Students’ Union colleague and fitness enthusiast, Adam Redfern, who died suddenly whilst jogging at the age 28, was established to give aspiring students with a flair for media, journalism and sport the opportunity to study at DMU and make the most of their time at the university.
The run is a celebration of Adam, bringing together those who knew and loved him to remember him and his life.
Everyone taking part in the run on Sunday, March 8, is encouraged to share pictures in their Run for Redfern Tees and any recorded runs on preferred tracking apps all over social media using #RunforRedfern and tagging @RedfernFund. Anyone interested in participating in the fundraiser, regardless of ability and location, can find more information here.
