A senior member of the De Montfort University student radio station says Demon FM has had a big influence on his university life and he has several key aspirations for the station’s future.
Izaak De May, the station manager, described his experiences as “amazing and very rewarding”, allowing him to learn new skills and experiences.

“Being within the station’s leadership group of DFM is very stressful but also rewarding at the same time,” he said.
The strongest benefit of joining DFM is it gathers students from different environments where personalities can express themselves while learning to operate on film equipment and radio present.
He also gave advice to other students considering joining.
“Just do it,” he said. “It’s honestly worth it and one of the fun things you’ll do.”
His aspirations for DFM are to grow its reputation across Leicester with plans for greater visibility, more incentives for members and expansions onto other platforms such as FM car radio.
