Leicester fundraising campaign aims to open creative hub for young people

By Maryam Patel

A fundraising campaign has been launched in Leicester with the aim of opening a creative hub for young people in the city centre.

Pedestrian is a leading charity specialising in music and arts education, and it has begun a fundraising campaign to open a hub at 29 Horsefair Street for young people.

The team aim to build a space where young people feel valued, supported and inspired to reach their potential.

The space will feature a gallery run by young people, recording studios, a versatile workshop and a community room for all.

With the help of donations, they aim to create a safe and inclusive home.

Their goal is to create a place where children and young people, who may be at risk, gain confidence, improve their well-being and develop essential life skills.

So far, the charity says £14,000 has been raised towards their £50,000 target.

More information and access to donate can be found here.
