One of England’s most iconic Ska bands is returning to Leicester for the first time since their last show at De Montfort Hall 16 years ago.
Legendary band Madness will be playing in Abbey Park in June as part of their summer Hits Parade tour to mark the 60th anniversary of their formation.
“The band first played the hall in November 1979 as part of the iconic 2-Tone tour, supporting The Specials and The Selecter – a tour that was their breakthrough moment on the UK scene,” said a city council spokesperson.
Madness will be playing in Abbey Park on Saturday, June 13, as the headline act for the Park Series show which will run from 2 until 10pm.
