Leicester’s Homelessness Charter hosted Christmas meals throughout festive period

By Amelia Harris

A Leicester organisation provided extra support for the city’s homeless people over the Christmas period.

Leicester’s Homelessness Charter offered a range of events providing food, drinks and support, with thousands estimated to be sleeping rough over this period in the city alone.

These started with food and a hot drink at Rachels Table, Calais Hill, on Monday, December 22, with events running until January 6, including a free Christmas meal and takeaway on Christmas Day.
