By Jacob Williams

De Montfort University hosted its yearly Remembrance Day service on Tuesday to remember those who died in the world wars, bringing together students and lecturers.

In a moving speech that struck a deep chord with the audience, Vice-Chancellor Professor Katie Normington discussed the meaning of remembering the sacrifices made in historical times.

At 11 am on November 11, they held the traditional two-minute silence during which everyone in attendance stood still in reflection and respect. The event demonstrated DMU’s dedication to community spirit and remembering.
