The fashion industry is the second largest cause of pollution, due to the production of cotton clothing, which uses a large amount of water and energy.
A survey from “fashionunited” shows that 58% of people 18-44 have bought clothing second hand in 2024, either from a charity shop or a website such as Vinted or eBay.
“I shop second-hand to save money,” Sanya Ram stated, “I still get amazing clothes for a fraction of the price, why would you not shop this way!”
With shopping second-hand, you are also getting excellent quality items for a lower price.
