Drummer and singer Isaac Deacon performed his first ever headline gig at the Big Difference to celebrate the release of his debut album, A Good Sandwich for Big Sugar.
Isaac, who’s only 18, gained notoriety in Leicester throughout 2024 with his band, The Juliettes, in which he plays drums.
At his gig on Friday, December 13, Isaac also had local Leicester acts, Kurt Alexander and Whisky Dick open for him.

“I loved every second of it,” said Isaac. “I was really excited for the gig, and what made me even more happy and excited was everyone else being happy and excited.
“I really liked when I gave everyone tambourines and they started shaking them, I felt like I was Jacob Collier or something, also when everyone applauded for Palestine,” he added.
When talking about his jam band, he said: “It was supposed to just be a one time thing, but it went like super well, lots of people came, and then when I was signing our CDs, our good friend Joel from the People Assembly came up to us and asked if we wanted to play a gig supporting them in January and then that felt really cool.”

After his set, Isaac took to the counter, with his CD profits going towards the Medical Aid for Palestinians non-government organisation (NGO) and raised £200 for the currently war-ravaged Palestinians.
Isaac and his jam band are now confirmed to be opening for Leicester punk band The People Assembly on Saturday(JAN11).
Tickets for their gig are now available at https://thebigdifference.co.uk/events/the-people-assembly-2025/
