Runners are being invited to sign up for a 5k run to raise money for the Adam Redfern Memorial Fund.
The run will be held at Victoria Park, Leicester, on Sunday, March 9, from 11am to 1pm.
Evan Aleviou, Admin Assisstant of DSU and Chairman of DemonFM, said: “This is all about Redfern who was a student here at the university who passed away very young.
“This is for cardiac awareness and the run will be interesting for media students as well.
“He was a student and he was a very interesting person in the Demon Society. He was a very sporty person and fun fact, there is a boardroom at the Students’ Union that’s named after Redfern.
“Raising money, Yes. Fun fact, I have four friends who’ll be participating.
“I am donating. Technically not running but I’ll be taking photos.”
