A church which holds weekly services on Leicester’s De Montfort University campus also has an off-shoot group where members discuss their positive life experiences.
The Life Group run free of charge by the Junction Church meets in a room behind the LCB Depot in Leicester every Thursday from 7pm to 8pm.

Members talk about the good things that have happened in their life, go through the bible verses that they learned in the previous Sunday’s worship, and end the session with a prayer request, where they tell others what is bothering them and one of the others pledges to pray for them.
Lydia Omuri, one of the leaders of the Junction Church Life Group, said: “The tagline is ‘Snacks, Chat and Prayer’. But the bulk of it is doing life group with a small group of people and duelling into one another.
“About 8 to 10 people attend.
“I love life groups. I haven’t been able to come for a couple of weeks which made me sad. But I’m glad to be back.
“The best thing about life group is the people and my favourite part is the conversations.”
She said the Junction Church Life Group is a great way to connect with people in the group and to really learn about God and to also talk about how you are feeling.
She added that if someone is having a bad day and they need to talk to somebody and to find a solution, then the Junction Church Life Group is just for them.
People do not have to be a Christian to attend, the Life Group welcomes people from all backgrounds and religions.
