Christian society BLW DMU members are hoping to have an impact on the streets of Leicester on Monday (DEC2) in an event called Reach Out World Day.
Precious Enogieru, 20, is one of the leaders who are helping and explained what the day is about.
She said: “Reach Out World Day is an event where BLW DMU looks to distribute Christian material and bring the community closer by inviting them to join the society free of charge where young people can network.”
About 30 to 40 De Montfort University students will be taking part in the event, led by Pastor Lynda.
“We are holding this event due to the fact that we believe Christianity is essential for young people as you build a relationship with God,” added Precious. “Also you get to meet other young people, hence we’re doing it because if we don’t, who will?”
Reach Out World Day has been planned for months as it is seen as a major event for the society with a projected high turnout in terms of results.
This event will not only be in Leicester but in every city where there is a university on that day.
However BLW DMU is easily one of the biggest BLW societies within the country, so they’ll be looking for very good results.
Precious added: “As Christians we believe in praying to God to ensure the day runs smoothly and pray that people will be open to hear what we have to say.
“However, as a society, we also have a plan and strategies on how we get the best results.”
