There are only six days left for families and shoppers before the Switch-On of the Christmas lights in Leicester’s Town Hall Square.
Visitors will be able to see the city in many different colours and will be able to enjoy all the activities that it has to offer.

Ady Dayman from BBC Radio Leicester will be hosting the celebration along with DJ Virdi Singh Mazaria, who has appeared on The Apprentice, and Rupaul’s Drag Race runner up, Divina de Campo.
Ranjit Singh, a customer service adviser at Visit Leicester, said: “From last year, they’re doing main stage now. From the Haymarket, they’ll have a DJ on the balcony.
“Divina de Campo is going to be there. There will be a Nutcracker marching band from the Haymarket.
“It brings people to the city. It brings people together. There might be a Festive Jam going on, which will be sponsored by BID Leicester.”
The lights will switch on at 5pm on Wednesday, November 20, along with the brass bands and the choir that will be performing until 8pm so that people afterwards can have a quiet spot to watch the lights.
Along with the Christmas lights, passengers will be able go for a ride on the Wheel of Light that is already running in Jubilee Square, along with a real ice rink, Ice Skate Leicester, that will be opening from Thursday, December 5, to Sunday, January 5.
They will also see all the Christmas lights by going on the Lights Switch-On trail led by the 15-piece Nutcracker marching band that starts at the Haymarket Balcony.
Visitors will see the 47-foot Christmas tree covered in LED Christmas lights at the Clock Tower.
The Switch-On celebration will have more activities in the city centre, such as the funfair that starts from noon to 9pm at Humberstone Gate and a Christmas Market which will be located at Gallowtree Gate from today(NOV14) until Sunday, December 29.
There will also be an LED Light animation along with Christmas trees and a traditional nativity scene that will take place at the Town Hall Square.
