Leicester Museum and Art Gallery has welcomed a brand new exhibition surrounding the punk lifestyle of the 1970s.
‘Punk: Rage & Revolution’ opened its doors on Tuesday(MAY30) and will stay in the museum, situated in New Walk, until September 3, featuring artifacts such as pieces designed by Dame Vivienne Westwood.
With the help of Soft Touch Arts, the exhibition focuses on “Punk’s ideology, attitude, fashion, art and legacy”.
The exhibition has also incorporated the help of the younger generation at Soft Touch Arts and has taken a look at how punk in Leicester has influenced modern day attitudes.
The museum is open 11am to 4.30pm, Mondays to Fridays, and 11am to 5pm, Saturdays to Sundays, with free entry to all visitors.
