Mental Health Awareness Week: Upcoming event to support people living with anxiety

An anxiety event is being held on Wednesday, May 17, as part of Mental Health Awareness Week.

The week is taking place between May, 15 and May, 21.

The awareness evening starts at 5.30pm and will finish at 8pm at St Philips Church, Evington Road, Leicester.

Mental health professionals will focus on how to manage anxiety and where to receive help.

There will also be a panel discussing anxiety disorder.

Leicester Health and Wellbeing Board, that develops and delivers health and wellbeing strategies, reported last year that around 34,000 people in Leicester live with a mental health condition such as anxiety.

Refreshments and a buffet meal will be provided.
