De Montfort Students’ Union (DSU) will be hosting a ‘Breaking Barriers, Disabled Students Network’ event on Friday, May 26.

The networking event will start at 4pm, end at 6pm in the DSU building, and will include speed networking and learning from guest speakers.

Leanne Herbert, Co-Chair of DMU’s Staff Disability and Wellbeing Network, will be one of the guest speakers.

The event aims to give information about life after university and the professional world to students with disabilities.

Organiser, Disabled Students’ Liberation Officer Thomas Norris, said: “I want it to inspire disabled students to get out there.”
