If you’re new to Leicester or maybe you are bored of the city, TripAdvisor has come up with some interesting places to visit in the city.
It has suggested a variety of places to visit from museums, to parks, or sport stadiums.
I have put together a Google Earth video clip to show where some of these locations are and what they look like.
My video shows the places in the order below:
- King Richard III Visitor Centre – Visitors can learn about the King’s life and death. His remains were buried here for around 500 years. It is in Leicester City centre opposite the Leicester Cathedral.
- National Space Centre – Here you will get a 360 full dome experience. They host many weekend events and astronomy evenings you can join in on.
- Leicester Museum & Art Gallery – Another place for people who are interested in history. They have displays and collections from all over the world.
- Curve Theatre – Home of Leicester’s theatre and showcases emerging talent and also some of the world’s finest.
- King Power Stadium – Home of Leicester City Football Club. If you’re interested in football this is the place to be in Leicester.
- Abbey Park – A nice space to relax with friends or by yourself.

Angelo Perera, who moved to Leicester a few years ago, said: “As a football fan, one of the first places I visited was the King Power Stadium and it was great. The National Space Centre was fun too as I managed to capture a great experience which I will remember for a long time.”
Kuldip, who has lived in Leicester for over 20 years, said: “The King Richard Visitor Centre was fascinating as they told us how his remains were found. Also, Belgrave Road is a great place to go to for Asians like myself as it really represents our culture well.”
This is a list of some of the best places to visit in Leicester. Let us know which ones really interested you.
