Leicester City Council announced yesterday [APR19] that phase one of a large affordable housing project in the city is complete.
The Woodhead Group contractors hand over the final development to the council meaning 12 new family homes at Felstead Road are ready to be occupied.
The project has already seen 29 new homes be completed at six different sites across the city, with work set to start on phase two in the summer.
Councillor Elly Cutkelvin, Leicester assistant city mayor for housing, said: “There is a huge demand for affordable housing in the city, so it is fantastic to see this first phase of building completed and these much-needed homes being occupied.”
