De Montfort University Women hosted the ‘Women in Work’ event on International Women’s Day (IWD) 2021 yesterday (MON,MAR8).
The four-person panel, hosted by Lisa Bilimoria, gave advice on being a female in stereotypically male dominated industries.
The panel also encouraged the 50 attendees to not be afraid of who they are and shared their personal experiences.
The ‘Women in Work’ event was one of the events hosted by DMU Women to celebrate IWD 2021, including a talk with DMU alumni discussing their own experiences and a talk from the Students’ Union executives discussing what femininity and womanhood meant to them.
