Another milestone has been hit as 250,000 people have now been given the coronavirus vaccine in Leicestershire and Rutland.

Almost 56,000 injections have been administered in the last seven days.
Latest figures have shown that more than 168,000 jabs have been given in Northamptonshire.

In Leicestershire, health teams have begun to give the vaccine to the over 65s.
Anyone within that age group, who is yet to receive the vaccine can book to have it at one of Leicester’s hospitals.

The hospitals in Leicester that hold the Pfizer vaccine currently are:
Glenfield Hospital, Leicester General Hospital and Leicester Royal Infirmary.
