De Montfort University’s 2021 Pride celebrations begin this week, to officially mark the start of LGBTQ+ history month.
The series of events, starting yesterday(MON,FEB1), will take place virtually for the first time, due to national restrictions not allowing students to return to campus.
Events being held include a discussion panel on transgender people in the world of sport, a quiz night hosted by the DMU Students’ Union, and a question and answer session with renowned author and LGBTQ+ campaigner Phyll Opoku-Gyimah.
