Libraries and community centres in Leicester are being closed due to the coronavirus situation.
Eyres Monsell Community Centre closes today (20MARCH) and Evington Library will be closed from tomorrow (21MARCH).
The Rushey Mead and Knighton libraries are also closed.
The Leicester City Council website states: “All our other libraries will remain open for core services, with increased hygiene measures and social distancing.”
The Leicester libraries book bus services have been suspended until further notice.
However, all of the eResources are available for Leicester library members 24/7 and all library loans have been extended until April 30.
In total nine community centres have closed, this includes:
- African Caribbean Centre
- Belgrave Neighbourhood Centre
- Eyres Monsell Community Centre
- Coleman Lodge
- Coleman Neighbourhood Centre
- Rushey Mead Community Centre
- Stocking Farm Community Centre
- Thurnby Lodge Community Centre
- Tudor Centre
