Leicester City have hired the son of Under-23s manager Steve Beaglehole to coach younger players in the academy.
Beaglehole’s son, Shamus, has been appointed Assistant Lead Foundation Phase Coach, which means he will coach the nine to 12 year olds at the club.
Shamus previously held a similar role at Sheffield Wednesday and now follows in the footsteps of his father by joining former Premier League champions Leicester City.
In 2014, Shamus won the annual Name of the Year competition. He defeated second-placed Dr Eve Gruntfest and Alkapone Cruz-Balles in third.
His father’s Under-23s side defeated Southampton 2-1 in the Premier League yesterday evening.
