Video of workman being hit on head by plywood due to Storm Ciara winds goes viral

by Molly Kerridge

A builder in Leicestershire was hit by a sheet of plywood that was picked up by the strong winds caused by Storm Ciara on Tuesday, February 11.

Ben Newberry, while working on a house in Syston, was knocked off his feet by the flying material.

The moment the 33-year-old was struck by the plywood was captured on a doorbell camera, and soon went viral online.

He was sent to the hospital for his injuries, but returned to work the next day.

Being a good sport, Mr Newberry said that he found the video funny.
