The NHS Blood and Transplant stand has come to De Montfort University and is in the Students’ Union building today until 2.30pm.
Events Assistant, Mikaeel Nathanie and his colleagues are in the SU with a table stand of blood type information and are approaching people to see if they are interested in signing up.
According to the NHS Blood and Transplant statistics in 2018/19 there were 509,009 registrations by financial year.
If interested they are running tests to tell students their blood type and to stress the importance of giving blood and saving lives.
