Leicestershire Police, Leicestershire County Council and De Montfort University (DMU) are among the most inclusive employers in the country for lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans staff, according to Stonewall in its Top 100 Employers list for 2020.
DMU was placed 40th in the campaign group’s annual list, Leicestershire County Council 83rd and the Leicestershire Police 93rd.
This year’s Stonewall Top 100 was the largest ever with 503 employers entering, and more than 109,000 anonymous responses from employees on their experience of Britain’s workplace culture and diversity being collected.
According to the equality charity, every organisation featured in the list “has done great work over the past year to help achieve acceptance without exception for all LGBT people.”
