Indie rock band Bombay Bicycle Club came to the De Montfort Hall last Thursday(JAN23) as part of their latest tour.

To celebrate the release of their new album ‘Everything Else Has Gone Wrong’, the band are undergoing a tour of the UK and Ireland.

The band arrived at about 5.30pm in the HMV store. People attended the event by wearing the limited wristbands purchased online; most wristbands came as a package with their latest album included.

The band performed a live acoustic set with some old songs and some from their new album.

Afterwards, the band signed merchandise, CDs, and talked to fans, with some fans grabbing a snap of their idols.

The small venue and the interactivity with the band made the experience a must for hardcore fans.

The doors opened at De Montfort Hall at 7pm, where support acts The Big Moon and Liz Lawrence warmed up the crowd, followed by the main performance of the night by Bombay Bicycle Club.

First year DMU student, Carmen, said: “I went to see Bombay Bicycle Club and they were amazing! I have been so hyped to see them for so long.

“I’ve been a fan of theirs for a little more than a year and I was so excited to see them in HMV and at the gig.

“Being able to talk to the band members was like a dream come true and getting their new album signed was so exciting.

“I became such a nervous fan-girl when it came to chatting with the band, as it’s not every day you get to speak to famous artists.

“When I saw other people were taking pictures with the band I had to get in there and grab one.”
