Coca Cola has revealed where its iconic Christmas truck will be travelling to this year and unfortunately Leicestershire residents are going to be disappointed, as it will not be visiting the county.
This is the second consecutive year that the city has missed out, in favour of other nearby towns.

Recent graduate of De Montfort University, Louisa Stratton, said: “It’s really sad that the event won’t go ahead as it would be a lovely boost for the area, and would have been a real morale booster for the new third year students in the run up to Christmas.”
The nearest truck stops to Leicester this year were two different locations in Leeds, on November 22 and 27.
In the past Keith Vaz, the now suspended Leicester East MP, raised concerns about the company’s visit to the city in 2015 due to the promotional cans given to those who attended.
At that event, he said: “The Coca-Cola truck is not welcome in Leicester, and this national tour to promote sugar-laden drinks is ill-judged and unwise at a time of record diabetes and obesity levels.”
