A flood risk has been issued today for the Lower River Soar in Leicestershire.

Rivers are expected to be at high levels throughout the week, due to the constant heavy rainfall. The levels are being closely monitored, in case the risk increases.
The warning was issued at 8.17am this morning on the government flood warning website.
The areas that have the potential to be flooded are roads and low-lying areas. Areas at risk include Slash Lane at Sileby, and Mountsorrel to Sileby Road.
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Services have advised drivers to avoid these areas.
The weather for the rest of the week is expected to consist of cloud and rain, alongside low temperatures.
