Both the men’s and women’s rugby first teams played this year’s Varsity game on Wednesday in Leicester but saw DMU lose in dramatic fashion.
Far from scoring: DMU’s women’s team desperately trying to push for a try
Both teams played the full 80 minutes, but DMU failed to score a single try in either match, with the women losing 49-0 and the men 53-3.
The University of Leicester once again held on to the women’s title for the 14th year running while the DMU men’s team haven’t won since 2012.
