A collision caused traffic delays this morning (WEDFEB27) around the Hinckley Road area on the A47.
The incident happened close to the Braunstone Leisure Centre on the A47 with Area Traffic Control reporting the road being ‘very busy’ near to Sunnycroft Road at about 8.30am.
We are getting reports of an #Accident on Hinckley Road in #Leicester, near to Sunnycroft Road – it is looking very busy there in both directions.

Westbound was affected with traffic backing up to the Western Park turnoff. Witnesses reported on Twitter that there was a smashed up car near the bridge going over the train track near the leisure centre which was causing delays.

The collision was cleared up soon after 10am but there were still delays with traffic easing where the incident occurred.
