The Leicester Comedy Festival will be hosted at more than 70 venues as the event billed as one of the top five of its kind in the world enters its 26th year.
Big Difference Company is the registered charity that produces the festival, with the aim of supporting new and emerging talent as well as supporting comedians and celebrating British comedy.
The 2019 event, which runs until February 24, will be host to a variety of big comedy names such as Jo Brand, Nish Kumar, Jason Manford, Russell Howard and many more.
Most of the events throughout the festival are free and tickets are available to reserve on the Leicester comedy festival website.
