Leicester Comedy Festival caters to the kids

This month, there are no shortage of comedy events happening in the city during Leicester Comedy Festival and now even the kids can get involved.

As part of Leicester Comedy Festival, Comedy Club 4 Kids will be putting on a show on Saturday (Feb 17), at 2 pm, which welcomes children from ages six +.

Comedy hosts on the night, Tiernan Douieb, George Egg and Paul Duncan McGarrity will create a family friendly atmosphere, for which children and accompanying adults can enjoy various acts and performances.

With regular venues in London, Brighton and Surrey, Comedy Club 4 Kids have branched out and there is now a chance for Leicester locals to experience what all the fun is about.

The Guardian said: “A highlight for children in recent years, giving them a taste of some of the biggest names in comedy…with the fun, rowdy feel of a real comedy club.”

Comedy club 4 Kids said, if your children can sit moderately still for the duration of the show, which is approximately 1 hour long, children and families can enjoy the delights of a real comedy show but “without the rude bits.”

Regular tickets are £8, there are family deals and two for one tickets for disabled people.

Comedy club 4 Kids run workshops and shows across the UK and have produced a book on how to write and perform stand-up.

The hosting venue will be De Montfort Hall, Le1 7Ru. To find more information about the event or to purchase tickets visit: www.demontforthall.co.uk
