De Montfort University applicants have today made their first steps into becoming a DMU student with activities, tests and auditions at an interview day.
Students are looking to impress with their portfolios, test scores, and polished performances.
For many students, this will be the first time they get a proper look around the full campus and get a small taste of where they could be embarking on their university journey.

Laura Keeble, part of the admissions team, said: “Students always come in feeling anxious, but usually calm down once they’re spoken to by a member of our team.
“Everyone is so friendly here, we try to create a welcoming atmosphere.”
Laura’s job is to register late students as well as directing them throughout the day.
University interview days can be a frightening and nerve-racking experience, but it is also an opportunity to meet your potential class mates and tutors.
There is an excited atmosphere at the university today with students from all courses on hand to give advice on their experiences throughout their years on the courses here at DMU.
