Highcross in Leicester has introduced a new event in the run-up to Christmas this year, Frostival.
Large crowds are set to attend the winter festival, with live music, light shows and animated dancing performances.
The festival is taking place this Thursday (NOV23), between 5pm and 9pm in St Peter’s Square.
Sam French, a representative for Highcross shopping centre, said: “We want to position Highcross as an integral part of the community and wider town centre events on the traditional Christmas lights switch on night.”
Ballerinas will attempt to recreate captivating scenes from Tchaiskovsky’s famous Swan Lake Ballet, and winged dancers will also take centre stage wearing lit-up costumes.
Sam added: “The Swan Lake performances are set to be spectacular and the snow lion is worth having a selfie with!”
There will also be an opportunity to see stilt walkers, including the Ice Prince and Princess, the Ice Queen and Snow Cats, complete with animatronic puppetry.
The event promises a festive atmosphere for the whole family to enjoy.
