After closing for refurbishment at the end of last year, Leicester’s popular music venue, The Shed, is finally set to re-open tonight, April 1.
Following a preview of the venue at the press launch on Thursday, March 30, it’s clear that The Shed will be the new hub for local artists.
Taken under new ownership and with over £100,000 spent on renovation, the venue has been significantly modernised, while still maintaining some original charm, such as the poster-plastered stairway.
The two-room venue has been decked out with new sound-systems, a complete exterior make-over and a massive LED screen.
The Shed will open tonight for the official launch party, with a headline performance from Birmingham based, electric swing six-piece, Electric Swing Circus, and support from local artists.
