A murder investigation has been launched after a man died in a car park early yesterday morning in Leicester.
Emergency services were called to a car park in Canonsleigh Road just after 6.20am on Sunday where a man was found with life-threatening injuries. The 22-year-old was taken to hospital where he later died.
A cordon which was in place in the street while a forensic examination of the scene was conducted has this evening been removed.
It is believed the victim may have sustained his injuries during an assault in the car park.
Detective Chief Inspector Martin Smalley, who is leading the investigation, said: “Officers are working to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
“I am keen to hear from anyone who saw what happened or who has information about how the man sustained his injuries.”
