A string of postgraduate events are being staged by De Montfort University to show students what the university has to offer.

The events are aimed at showing current students what they can expect if they choose to stay on and take postgraduate courses.

Open evenings are being hosted on the March 15, June 7 and September 6.

There will also be a finance stand on March 15 to give students an understanding of scholarships and some of the offers that are available.

A spokesperson from the Faculty of Technology said they wanted to show students what the university had to offer.

“We have got a good offer on at the minute where students are able to receive 50% off a range of postgraduate courses.

“These events give students a chance to speak to the course leaders of a wide range of courses.

“We have had a few enquiries today and we are expecting some more this afternoon. But anyone who could not make it today can speak to us on a live chat until 4pm today.

“These will also be available online while the other events are being hosted.”

The open days are all about career progression for the student, and to introduce the students to some opportunities that they might not know about, such as international study.

Sara Ghafouri, Marketing Officer at DMU, said it was a good opportunity for students to find out more.

“These events allow us to showcase what we have to offer,” she said.

“Students are able to ask about the courses, finance and to meet the tutors.”
