On the 20th of February 2025, DOOPS Academy hosted a special community event called Crowned with Care at the Afro Caribbean Centre in Leicester run by founder Emiola Lanlehin.
The event was designed to provide free hairstyling and barbering services to black children and teenagers (ages 5-18) in the care system.
This is just the beginning of what DOOPS Academy has in store for the community as Emiola stated what the future holds.
“Within the next three years we’ll have a book, an online education platform and loads of events and products.”
