Matthew Dunster, director of The Hunger Games: On Stage, said: “I think what we’re trying to do is make something that is unique theatrically.
“People know the story. It’d be great if people can come along and not just be re-energised by the story being told theatrically but actually being blown away by the kind of piece of theatre that we’re making.”
The Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre is a brand new, dynamic 1,200 seat venue was purposely built to host the world premiere of this theatrical production.
Audience members will be in the middle of the action due to the theatre’s in-the-round layout – cleverly sat in districts, like you would be if you were a citizen.

Every aspect of the venue and production have been deliberately chosen to immerse the audience in the intense and electrifying environment of the dystopian world Collins created.
In the promotional behind-the-scenes video, gravity-defying stunts and fighting sequences will be right in front of your eyes.
John Maddox, Flying Director, said:
“This is definitely not going to be like any other show anyone’s seen.”
