Leicester City are one of the most well-represented Premier League clubs at this year’s Qatar World Cup, with seven players being called up for international duty.
After huge debate, Leicester’s James Maddison was given a place on the plane to Doha, with teammate Danny Ward included in the Wales squad in the same group as England.
Three Foxes players were called up to the Belgium squad, with regulars Youri Tielemans and Timothy Castagne included alongside Wout Faes, who has forced his way in after a good run of form.
Centre-back Daniel Amartey has been included in the Ghana squad after being given a run of games in the Leicester side through an injury to Northern Ireland’s Jonny Evans.
The final Leicester City player flying out to Qatar is Nampalys Mendy, who was part of the squad that won the Africa Cup of Nations.
The World Cup starts this Sunday(NOV20) with the hosts kicking off against Ecuador, while England start their campaign against Iran at 1pm on Monday.
