A local derby: Leicester City FC were knocked out of the FA cup by Nottingham Forest FC

Leicester City were dumped out of the FA Cup by their bitter East Midlands rivals Nottingham Forest on Sunday evening.

The Foxes were thumped 4-1, with Nottingham Forest scoring three first-half goals in nine minutes.

Leicester City fan, Daniel Fox, said: “I am in disbelief.

“It was such an important game for our fans and for us to try and salvage something from this season.”

The match was marred by controversy as a Leicester City fan evaded the stewards and managed to land punches on the Nottingham Forest players, during their celebrations.

Daniel said: “He was idiotic.

“Probably the cherry on the cake for an embarrassing day for the club.”
