De Montfort University has released a set of guides and support for students in order to commemorate Transgender Day of Remembrance 2021 (NOV20).
The day, which has taken place every November since 1999, honours the memory of those who have tragically lost their lives as a consequence of transphobia and anti-transgender violence.
To commemorate the day, the university has produced a guide to transgender and non-binary inclusion, as well as reinforced the importance of the DMU No Space For Hate project, which provides practical support for students facing harassment.
Additionally, the LGBTQ+ society at the university is a support forum for students and allies.
